Timber Acquisitions is the direct-acquisitions arm of Timber Acquisitions, a Mississippi-rooted private firm built around one belief: rural Southern landowners deserve the same straight-talking, deep-pocketed buyer experience that institutional sellers in Manhattan get.

We were founded by people whose families have owned, logged, hunted, and farmed Mississippi land for generations. That heritage shapes how we underwrite, how we close, and how we treat sellers, especially the ones who inherited land they never wanted, or who are trying to sell something the MLS won't touch.

We fund our own purchases, cover closing costs, and honor handshakes. And when a seller could earn substantially more by giving the open market some time, we tell them, and connect them with our partner realtors who use professional marketing to reach buyers willing to pay top retail.

That is the difference between us and the typical "we buy land" outfit: we buy land and we sell land, and the right answer changes with the area, the land type and the family behind it. So every conversation starts with a local land expert instead of a number.
